Trauma therapy is an evidence-based therapy that aims at addressing the core need of the patient. Our practice makes use of Trauma Incident Reduction (TIR) as a technique to unlock the trauma and past hurts.

We help parents who are struggling to connect with themselves, other parents, or their child(ren) due to mental health or substance abuse by educating them and raising awareness about mental health and substance abuse.

Genevieve Matthews is a dedicated support counselor, TIR (Traumatic Incident Reduction) facilitator, and qualified end-of-life doula based in Pretoria. Trained in counseling at Lifeline Pretoria and further specializing in trauma counseling by completing an extensive 3 year course in TIR at Meta Psychology International, Genevieve brings seven years of professional experience to her work. She completed her end-of-life doula training with Sacred Dying SA, focusing on grief and bereavement support. As the mother of a 22-year-old autistic daughter, Genevieve also offers unique insights into autism and ADHD, having completed multiple courses to guide families and help parents navigate their own grief and challenges with compassion and understanding.
